Busy Times Ahead
Came back to Ipoh on Wednesday night. Yesterday was a blur, did a lot of running around, yet I can't remember exactly what I had done, lol.
Today, I accompanied my sister to duplicate her IC and Birth Certificate. We arrived at 12 and the IC was done under 15 minutes, there wasn't any one at all. Next we went up one floor to do the Birth Cert only to be told that they were closed for lunch and it would only reopen at 245. Thus we decided to leave and do the next best thing, shopping!
Lol, actually sis did the shopping, I waited upon her and held on to her purchases for dear life. We went home for lunch only when my mom called and insisted we went back immediately for lunch. Naturally, we took half an hour to leave the mall, haha.
After our rendang (chicken and beef) for lunch - I swear this is slowly becoming a CNY ritual - we went back to the registration department. It took slightly longer this time, about 30 minutes. As we were waiting for the form to be authorised, a clerk spoke to the lady who was attending us.
"Wah, tengok, dua pun orang yang cantik," she enthused. (Translation: Look, both of them are beautiful people) The lady took a long look at both of us and nodded in agreement.
We just smiled politely. Then they asked us if we were siblings. One of them actually thought we were a couple, haha. As we left, we both gave them a warm smile and thanked them for their assistance.
Well, there's only one way to take a compliment - graciously.

Sigh.. lives of the not-so-rich and not-so-famous but beautiful people. The stuff of dreams for us mere mortal...
Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year! Hope you'll be blessed with good fortune all the time.
