Busy Times Ahead

Came back to Ipoh on Wednesday night. Yesterday was a blur, did a lot of running around, yet I can't remember exactly what I had done, lol.

Today, I accompanied my sister to duplicate her IC and Birth Certificate. We arrived at 12 and the IC was done under 15 minutes, there wasn't any one at all. Next we went up one floor to do the Birth Cert only to be told that they were closed for lunch and it would only reopen at 245. Thus we decided to leave and do the next best thing, shopping!

Lol, actually sis did the shopping, I waited upon her and held on to her purchases for dear life. We went home for lunch only when my mom called and insisted we went back immediately for lunch. Naturally, we took half an hour to leave the mall, haha.

After our rendang (chicken and beef) for lunch - I swear this is slowly becoming a CNY ritual - we went back to the registration department. It took slightly longer this time, about 30 minutes. As we were waiting for the form to be authorised, a clerk spoke to the lady who was attending us.

"Wah, tengok, dua pun orang yang cantik," she enthused. (Translation: Look, both of them are beautiful people) The lady took a long look at both of us and nodded in agreement.

We just smiled politely. Then they asked us if we were siblings. One of them actually thought we were a couple, haha. As we left, we both gave them a warm smile and thanked them for their assistance.

Well, there's only one way to take a compliment - graciously.

World No. 1 Procrastinator

Yes, I'm a laziest person in the WWW, and I mean Whole Wide World.

So I'm supposed to be doing my assignments, that's the reason I'm home in the first place. Guess what I've been home more than 24 hours and I've yet to type a single word for that assignment of mine.... make that assignments, cuz I have tonnes and tonnes of them.

Arrrggggh, I'm a lazy ass!

Nonetheless, here I am, sitting here blogging. I'm desperately trying to make a whimsical, self-deprecating entry but it doesn't seem to be happening. Who knew it was so difficult to be stupid.

Don't wanna write anything serious, afterall I'm only here for a few days. The last thing I need is to be encumbered with emotional issues.

Darn, still no funny thoughts. Anyway I just chided my mom for looking at my bank statement.

"How come there's so little left in your bank account?"

"It's not account you support (barely) me with."

"Oh I see. Then how come you have so much money in your bank account ar?"

Nonchalantly, "I'm peddling drugs part-time."

To which she replied, "Just don't get caught." Ok, so maybe she didn't say that, haha.

Brand New Year

Today is January 1st, 2006. It doesn't feel like the beginning of anything, cept maybe an impending nightmare. Woke up this morning dreading tomorrow, when I have to go back. Surefire way to kill whatever mood I have.

However, I've decided I shall not dwell on such thoughts for this entry. Bad things will occur anyway and it's easier to get by if you don't spend every moment fretting it. When it happens, it happens. Meantime I shall try to be happy.

So I was out yesterday with Mayflower, had an amazing time. Laughed with abandon. It's a great feeling, being able to laugh like there's not a worry in the world. And she understands what I'm going through. Oh, and she asked me to put this in - Time flies. One sem was over just like that. Here's hoping that the rest of the year pass by just quickly.

Loopy, be happy!
